Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian has highlighted Pakistan's relentless pursuit of regional peace, attributing it to the country's rich cultural heritage.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian took to his X account on Wednesday to express the shared ideals and aspirations between Iran and Pakistan. He emphasized that Pakistan's ongoing peace efforts are deeply embedded in its cultural roots, which has significantly contributed to promoting harmony in the region.

Pezeshkian also mentioned his recent visit to Pakistan, where he engaged in discussions with prominent leaders including Asif Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif, and Asim Munir. The discussions focused on appreciating Pakistan's mediation efforts and exploring avenues to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.
