Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian appreciates the role played by Qatar in reducing tensions and moving in the diplomatic path.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a telephone conversation with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President Pezeshkian acknowledged Doha's constructive role in reducing tensions and facilitating diplomatic processes leading to an agreement to end the war. He considered this development an opportunity to expand regional cooperation, strengthen the unity of Islamic countries, and establish lasting peace and stability in the region.

Pointing to the importance of cooperation and convergence among regional countries in overcoming the challenges ahead, President Pezeshkian stated, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized the development of brotherly relations with Islamic countries and the strengthening of political, economic, and cultural ties among Muslim nations, and believes that cooperation and mutual support among Islamic countries can pave the way for stability, security, and sustainable progress in the region."

He appreciated the role of friendly and brotherly countries in reaching the agreement, Pezeshkian said: "Without the support and benevolent efforts of countries such as Qatar, Pakistan, and other Islamic countries, it would have been difficult to provide the necessary conditions for the realization of this agreement. Undoubtedly, the continuation of this approach based on dialogue and cooperation can lead to the establishment of lasting peace and tranquility in the region."
