Pezeshkian Terms Strengthening Islamic Countries’ Unity as Key to Confronting Israeli Crimes

Doha: President Masoud Pezeshkian has termed strengthening the unity and solidarity among Islamic countries as the most effective way to confront the Israeli regime’s crimes. Speaking Monday in Doha in a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on the sidelines of the emergency summit of leaders of Islamic and Arab countries, Pezeshkian said Iran and Egypt possess two glorious and brilliant civilizations and histories, and the expansion of cooperation can further contribute to securing the interests of both nations and other nations in the region.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian urged accelerating the establishment of official relations between Iran and Egypt. Meanwhile, El-Sisi said Iran and Egypt have good capacities for securing mutual interests, as well as the interests of other nations in the region. He also stressed the necessity of closer relations between Islamic countries and the adoption of a unified, practical stance against Israeli crimes.
