Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed condolences to Indonesia following a devastating earthquake in the country and said Tehran is ready to dispatch humanitarian aid to the affected areas. In a message to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday, Pezeshkian conveyed his sympathy over the loss of life and injuries caused by the quake. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian extended his condolences to the Indonesian government and nation, particularly to bereaved and affected families, and offered Iran's full preparedness to provide relief and medical assistance. 'I express my sincere condolences and sympathy to Your Excellency, the government, and the friendly people of Indonesia, especially the grieving and affected families,' the president stated. Pezeshkian expressed hope for the swift restoration of stability and calm to the affected regions. 'In these difficult circumstances, while announcing our readiness for any relief and medical aid, I ask Almighty God for mercy an d forgiveness for the victims, a speedy recovery for the injured, and patience and fortitude for the survivors,' he added.
