Mashhad:Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian visited the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad, Razavi Khorasan Province. The visit took place during a brief trip to the northeastern Iranian city on Friday evening.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian visited the shrine of the eighth Shia Imam, Ali ibn Musa al-Reza. Following the pilgrimage, the president also visited the mausoleum of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

During his visit to the mausoleum, President Pezeshkian paid his respects by reciting a chapter of the Holy Quran, honoring the memory of the martyred Leader.
