Public Health and Trust Cited as Pillars of National Security by Iranian Official

Hamadan:Tehran Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, has underscored the importance of public health and trust as essential components for sustainable national security, lauding the contributions of healthcare volunteers in enhancing the quality of life for citizens.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rezaei made these comments in a message celebrating a significant volunteer-run medical and humanitarian camp. This event was organized in collaboration with the Shahid Hamedani volunteer group and Hamadan University of Medical Sciences.

Rezaei emphasized that national security is not confined to geographical borders but begins within people's homes. It encompasses health, peace of mind, livelihoods, hope, and public confidence in the future. He also acknowledged the critical role of volunteer groups and healthcare organizations in fostering community service through solidarity and social responsibility.

The three-day medical camp commenced on October 6 in Hamadan, offering specialized healthcare services to disadvantaged groups. Approximately 250 specialists, subspecialists, and faculty members from Tehran University of Medical Sciences took part in this initiative.
