Tehran:People across Tehran Province will hold evening rallies on Sunday to mark the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, as announced by an Iranian official.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohsen Mahmoudi, head of the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council in Tehran Province, stated that the gatherings will take place in squares and main streets throughout the province.

Mahmoudi described Nasrallah as a symbol of steadfastness, self-sacrifice, and resistance. He highlighted that the people of Tehran Province will gather to honor his legacy, which holds significant value in the Islamic and Arab world.

He further noted that in the past seven months, residents of the province have organized gatherings at over 100 urban and rural locations to show support for the Islamic Republic and Iran's Armed Forces.

Mahmoudi also mentioned that Israel believed Nasrallah's assassination would dismantle the resistance movement he led, but asserted that the movement 'cannot be stopped.'

Nasrallah was killed during an Israeli airstrike on Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut on September 27, 2024, with Hezbollah confirming his martyrdom the following day.
