New delhi: South Africa has officially expressed its readiness to collaborate with Iran in pursuing legal actions against the United States and Israel for alleged crimes. This announcement was made by a senior member of South Africa's legal delegation during the 11th BRICS Legal Forum 2026 held in New Delhi.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the head of Iran's Judiciary Bar Association Center, Hassan Abdolianpour, engaged in discussions with Machini, the head of South Africa's legal delegation, focusing on expanding bilateral legal cooperation. Abdolianpour commended South Africa's stance on addressing the actions of Israeli leaders concerning the Palestinian issue and emphasized the necessity of transitioning their cooperation from mere dialogue to 'practical and continuous actions.'

Machini reiterated his government's support for the Iranian people, condemning aggressive actions against Iran as violations of international law. He underscored South Africa's legal experience in handling international cases, particularly referencing its case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) concerning alleged genocide in Gaza. Machini expressed a willingness to collaborate with Iran in the field of international law, offering South Africa's expertise and experience to aid in the pursuit of justice.
