Tehran: Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Major General Mohsen Rezaei has declared that the Iranian Armed Forces are more prepared than before should the United States decide to launch an attack on the Islamic Republic. In a recent interview with al-Jazeera TV, General Rezaei emphasized Iran's readiness for what he termed a "fateful war," noting the nation's awareness of vulnerabilities within the US military. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rezaei also revealed a strategic shift in Iran's approach toward the US following Washington's withdrawal from a memorandum of understanding signed in June, which aimed to permanently end hostilities. He disclosed that Iran has conducted tests of an anti-ship missile near a US aircraft carrier and warned of targeting all US bases and interests in the region if attacked. Iran's top security official conveyed that Iran has communicated its terms for ending the conflict to the US through Qatar, with ongoing consultations involving Qatari and Pakistani mediators. Rezaei outlined Iran's conditions, which include the cessation of hostilities on all fronts, the release of blocked Iranian assets, and the lifting of the naval blockade. He mentioned that Iran is awaiting a response from the Trump administration. Furthermore, Rezaei expressed Iran's desire for a resolution to the ongoing conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, suggesting that Yemeni armed forces are also inclined toward reaching an agreement with Saudi Arabia.
