Tehran: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf asserted that the United States and the Israeli regime did not achieve their objectives during the recent conflict with Iran, stating that military efforts against Iran ultimately did not succeed.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf made these comments during a meeting with Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of Belarus' House of Representatives, on the sidelines of a ceremony honoring the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. This event, attended by foreign delegations, took place in Tehran on Thursday.

Ghalibaf took the opportunity to thank Belarus for its support of Iran following the aggression by Israel and the US. He also expressed appreciation for Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko's condolences over the martyrdom of the Leader and his congratulations on the election of Iran's new Leader.

Discussing the recent conflict, Ghalibaf emphasized that despite the loss of its Leader, Iran emerged victorious both militarily and politically. He praised the unity of the Iranian people amid external pressure and warned that Iran would respond forcefully to any future aggression. He also mentioned that Tehran expects full implementation of recent understandings and would take necessary actions if the US and Israel failed to honor their commitments.

Additionally, Ghalibaf pointed out that the US failed to draw NATO and its allies into the conflict and claimed that ongoing Iranian missile strikes highlighted inaccuracies in the Israeli regime's assessments of Iran's military capabilities.

Igor Sergeyenko, for his part, condemned Israeli attacks on Iran and reaffirmed Belarus' support for Iran's sovereignty. He expressed Minsk's readiness to enhance political, economic, cultural, and parliamentary cooperation with Tehran and engage within international forums such as BRICS and the Non-Aligned Movement.
