Tehran: A senior military commander said the United States' defeat in the war with Iran, despite all its military equipment, will be 'recorded in history.'
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Deputy Chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari made the remarks during a meeting on Wednesday with the head of the Civil Aviation Authority of Iran. He emphasized the bravery and resilience of Iran's armed forces and the significant role of popular support as key factors behind the US failure.
Sayyari also highlighted the Iranian army's first-ever presence in the Mediterranean Sea, recalling that the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had commented on the naval deployment, saying it 'shook the world' despite facing sanctions and restrictions.
The commander further mentioned the high level of social resilience among Iranians during the recent war, noting that it placed a heavy responsibility on officials to work tirelessly in appreciation of national unity and cohesion.
