US Fails to Rally Allies Against Iran, Says Iranian Official

Tunis:The United States has not succeeded in gaining the support of its allies in its recent conflict with Iran, according to Iranian Parliament Deputy Speaker Hamidreza Haji Babai. This failure highlights the challenges faced by Washington's regional strategy and leaves the US increasingly isolated.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Haji Babai stated that US President Donald Trump's ongoing threats, despite Washington's setbacks in the conflict, indicate a sense of desperation. He argued that a nation confident in its strength would not need to resort to threats.

The deputy speaker noted that US allies declined to participate in Trump's aggressive actions against Iran, revealing Washington's struggle to advance its regional goals. He asserted that the combination of US isolation and the steadfastness of the resistance front led to the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq, and anticipated that US troops would eventually leave other countries in the region as well.

Haji Babai criticized Trump for using rhetoric to mask the setbacks faced in the conflict with Iran over the past year. He contended that US threats and attempts to draw Iran's neighbors into another conflict, as well as efforts to rally allies against Tehran, would not benefit Iran, regional countries, or Washington's partners. Despite losses, the resistance front maintained cohesion and accomplished its objectives through asymmetric warfare.

The lawmaker called on regional countries to unite against foreign threats, citing recent wars as evidence that the United States cannot guarantee their security. He accused Washington of prioritizing its citizens' security while exploiting regional oil resources. He emphasized that diplomacy and war are inseparable and that negotiations should be conducted from a position of strength, urging Iran to pursue its demands assertively.
