US Navy Personnel Will Not Be Returning to Bahrain Soon: Top US Navy Commander

Tehran: Admiral Daryl Caudle, US Chief of Naval Operations, has announced that US Navy personnel will not be returning to their base in Bahrain in the near future. This decision follows significant damage to the base.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the US Army's Fifth Fleet headquarters, located in Bahrain, faced severe damage during Iran's first retaliatory strike. Six months into the ongoing conflict, the extent of the destruction has become increasingly clear, with damage estimated at around $400 million.

Admiral Caudle emphasized that the current conditions at the Bahrain base are not conducive to the return of the US Navy personnel. The damage has affected operational capabilities, and efforts to assess and plan for the necessary reconstruction are ongoing. The timeline for any potential return remains uncertain as evaluations continue.
