Strait of hormuz: A vessel was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting outbound through the Strait of Hormuz, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) centre said early Tuesday.

According to TRTworld.com, the Company Security Officer reported that the vessel sustained damage to the engine room due to the impact, resulting in a crew casualty. The remaining crew members received assistance from the Omani Coast Guard.

No environmental impact has been reported from the incident. Authorities are currently investigating the situation. UKMTO has advised vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
