Tehran: First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized the importance of scientific advancements in overcoming adversaries, particularly highlighting the achievements during a 12-day war imposed by Israel in June. Aref described this period as ‘a battle of science against science,’ underscoring the critical role that science and technology played in gaining an advantage in this confrontation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Aref addressed a gathering of electronics professors on Saturday, stating that Iran’s upper hand during the conflict was due to the prioritization of science and technology. He characterized the ongoing confrontation as a struggle between the Islamic Revolution and ‘Zionist thinking,’ framing it as a contest between the oppressed and oppressors.

Aref warned about the actions of the ‘front of tyranny’ against the Islamic Republic of Iran and stressed the need for preparedness. He highlighted that Iran’s long-term strength lies not in its natural resources but in its educated youth, indicating that modern conflicts are increasingly determined by soft power rather than traditional means.
