AEOI Chief Accuses Enemies of Promoting Misleading Narrative About Iran’s Nuclear Program

Tehran: Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, has expressed concerns over what he describes as a “cruel narrative” propagated by adversaries regarding Iran’s nuclear industry. Eslami’s remarks came during a visit by Vice-President for Executive Affairs, Mohammad-Jafar Ghaempanah, to an exhibition highlighting Iran’s nuclear achievements.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Eslami emphasized the importance of maintaining a permanent exhibition of Iran’s nuclear accomplishments to counteract hostile propaganda. He argued that this propaganda has misrepresented Iran’s nuclear program through baseless allegations over the years. Eslami believes that showcasing tangible progress and practical actions is the most effective way to demonstrate the peaceful intentions of Iran’s nuclear initiatives.

Eslami outlined several strategic priorities for the AEOI, focusing on critical areas such as water scarcity management, soil salinity reduction, agricultural pest vulnerability mitigation, and ensuring food safety and security, alongside energy supply. He asserted that enemies are opposed to Iran’s involvement in the nuclear industry, but despite these hostilities, the country remains a leader in the field.

Furthermore, Eslami highlighted long-term cooperation agreements with foreign nations, including Russia, which involve plans to build eight nuclear power plants in Iran. He noted that these collaborations are crucial for transferring modern technology and bolstering Iran’s industrial and technological capabilities, contributing to the nation’s economic growth and development.
