Tehran: Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has commemorated the contributions of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, emphasizing his pivotal role in strengthening the Resistance Front, as the fifth anniversary of his martyrdom approaches. In a meeting with families of martyrs, veterans, and resistance activists, Ayatollah Khamenei underscored Soleimani's enduring legacy in safeguarding holy sites and resisting terrorism.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted General Soleimani's unwavering commitment to the cause, asserting that his efforts were crucial in preventing the desecration of holy sites, akin to what occurred at the shrine of Samarra in Iraq.
