Brussels: The Iranian Embassy in Brussels has strongly criticized the European Parliament's recent anti-Iran resolution, labeling it a "desperate attempt" influenced by an interventionist and biased stance against Iran's sovereignty and internal affairs. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in response to the European Parliament's decision, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Brussels released a statement on its official account on the X social network. The statement condemned the resolution, which was approved on 28 November 2024, as part of a series of efforts by the European institution to interfere in the sovereignty and internal matters of independent states, including Iran. The embassy's statement further criticized the credibility and moral standing of the resolution's supporters, questioning their ability to evaluate and judge the status of women's rights in Iran. It highlighted perceived hypocrisy by pointing out that the same Members of the European Parliament have consistentl y opposed any resolution against what the statement referred to as the "apartheid and racist regime" in Gaza, despite alleged violations of women's and children's rights by the Zionist regime over the past 14 months.
