Tehran: Members of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) have reviewed proposed amendments to Article 2 of a bill aimed at countering foreign infiltration during an open session of the legislative body. As the second item on the agenda of their virtual meeting on Sunday, lawmakers continued deliberations on the bill, which seeks to counter infiltration by foreign intelligence services, governments, and other external entities.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the session, lawmakers examined and voted on proposed amendments to Article 2 of the bill. The general outlines of the 33-article bill, which is designed to counter infiltration by foreign intelligence services, governments, and other external entities, were previously approved by 183 lawmakers during an open session on August 16, 2026.
