Tehran: Deputy Chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari has issued a stern warning that any attempts by foreign forces to land on Iran's shores would face immense resistance, stating that the country's coastline would become 'a hell' for any invading force.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a televised interview, Sayyari emphasized that any incursion by foreign troops onto Iranian soil is considered a red line for the nation. He highlighted that the United States had previously planned such military operations but did not succeed in executing them.
Sayyari assured that the Iranian Army, alongside the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), law enforcement, the Basij, and the Iranian populace, are all fully prepared to defend the nation. He further stated that no rhetoric from Washington would embolden them to undertake such an operation. The commander stressed that any enemy landing forces on Iran's coast would face dire consequences, effectively entering a 'hell' from which escape would be impossible.
Refuting US President Donald Trump's claims about the destruction of Iran's naval capabilities, Sayyari indicated that such remarks were attempts to imply that the US could deploy forces along the Makran coast or near the Strait of Hormuz. He criticized Washington for portraying Iran's coastline as susceptible to foreign military intervention, accusing the US of engaging in psychological warfare designed to intimidate the Iranian people.
Sayyari reassured the public of the readiness of Iran's Armed Forces to defend the nation, affirming that the country's borders are secure and no threat to Iran's territorial integrity will be tolerated.
