Jakarta:President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation with the Sultan of Oman during a telephone conversation, focusing on constructive consultations to bolster regional peace and stability.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the phone call on Sunday, Pezeshkian conveyed birthday greetings to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, expressing wishes for continued prosperity and success for Oman.

Pezeshkian praised the Sultan and Oman's government for their efforts in promoting regional peace. He underlined the need for ongoing diplomatic consultations and the expansion of constructive interactions to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation among regional nations.

Highlighting the strong and friendly ties between Iran and Oman, Pezeshkian invited Sultan Haitham to visit Tehran, hoping for an in-person meeting soon.
