Tasnim News Agency Reporter Released After 450 Days in Israeli Detention

Beit Ummar:Farah Abu Ayyash, a correspondent for Tasnim News Agency, has been reunited with her family after spending 450 days in Israeli detention. Her release occurred on Thursday night following a judicial decision.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the judicial court of Ofer Prison acquitted Abu Ayyash of all charges, leading to her release after she served 15 months in administrative detention.

Abu Ayyash was initially arrested on August 6, 2025, during a night raid by Zionist soldiers at her home in Beit Ummar, north of Al-Khalil. She faced charges related to her coverage of news and developments in the southern West Bank for Tasnim News Agency and reportedly experienced torture during her detention.

The judicial proceedings in her case were repeatedly delayed due to what was described as obstructionism by the Zionist regime, resulting in her prolonged detention at Damon Prison.
