Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority Bans Hunting

The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority, which oversees the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve and King Khalid Royal Reserve, has strictly banned hunting, as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard the environment and wildlife from extinction.The authority works to maintain ecological balance, preserve biodiversity, and mitigate the negative impacts of poaching. By forbidding hunting, the reserves can ensure that wildlife can fulfill its natural roles within the protected areas.According to the authority, hunting is strictly prohibited in both reserves. The authority will take legal action against violators, to protect natural resources. Monitoring teams will intensify field patrols, utilizing advanced technology and enforcing laws in cooperation with relevant authorities.Since the beginning of 2024, the authority's environmental control teams have found 290 environmental violations in the two reserves.
