TEHRAN: In a meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized Iran's commitment to establishing security in Syria. The discussions with Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr Al-Busaidi, underscored efforts to fortify strategic, trade, and tourism ties between the two nations.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qalibaf highlighted the potential impact of collaboration among Muslim countries in fostering regional security and stability. He described the current state of Iran-Oman relations as favorable but stressed the importance of further developing political and economic partnerships, leveraging existing capacities.

Addressing regional dynamics, Qalibaf accused the Zionist regime of initiating genocidal actions in Gaza and military operations in Yemen, with prior invasions in Lebanon. He attributed these activities to support from the U.S. president and western nations, criticizing them for targeting regional infrastructure with military interventions.

The Omani foreign minister's visit to Tehran, at the invitation of Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, aims to strengthen bilateral relations and address pressing regional issues. During his visit, Al-Busaidi is expected to engage in further discussions with senior Iranian political and economic officials to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation.
