Geneva: The Iranian delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has departed the Swiss negotiation venue and returned to Tehran after nearly 18 hours of intensive consultations.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian team participated in both bilateral and quadrilateral meetings involving representatives from the United States, with Pakistan and Qatar acting as mediators.
During the talks, the Iranian side outlined the Islamic Republic's positions regarding the implementation of the Iran-US memorandum of understanding (MoU) and the conditions required for entering final agreement negotiations.
Following the conclusion of the consultations, Qatar and Pakistan issued a joint statement announcing agreement on a 60-day roadmap, the formation of a high-level committee, and the launch of technical working groups. The statement added that technical negotiations would continue until the end of the week in Brgenstock, Switzerland.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei told IRNA that Iran clearly and firmly presented its positions during the four-party meeting with the United States. He emphasized that any transition toward final agreement talks depends on the full implementation of specific provisions outlined in the memorandum by the other side.
The Switzerland four-party talks at Brgenstock hotel complex brought Iran, the US, Qatar and Pakistan together in a mediated format to advance a phased roadmap.
