Tehran: Iran's Foreign Ministry has announced that the country will participate at the highest level in the funeral ceremony for former Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah. This was confirmed by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei during a regular press briefing. He emphasized the importance of the ceremony but refrained from sharing specific details about Iran's representation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baghaei also addressed a recent diplomatic issue with Lebanon, where Iranian passenger aircraft were denied entry. He mentioned that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had discussed the matter with his Lebanese counterpart, stressing the need to prevent external influences on bilateral decisions. Baghaei expressed optimism about reaching a resolution beneficial to both Iranian and Lebanese citizens.

In other comments, Baghaei criticized the United States for inconsistent actions and statements towards Iran, highlighting a contradiction between threats of "obliteration" and claims of supporting negotiations. He also mentioned that Iran's Interests Section in Washington, D.C., stands ready to assist Iranian expatriates improperly expelled from the U.S., condemning the expulsions as violations of international law and human principles.

Regarding the murder of two Iranian nationals in France, Baghaei urged French authorities to provide clearer information about the crime and its motivations. He assured that Iran is actively pursuing the matter through diplomatic channels in France and Tehran.

On another front, Baghaei denied speculations that Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani would carry any messages from the United States to Iran during his visit. Furthermore, he advised IAEA Director Rafael Grossi to limit his comments to topics within his jurisdiction to avoid political tensions.

Addressing rumors about China's reluctance to accept Iranian oil shipments, Baghaei affirmed the enduring strength of Iran-China relations. He described the bilateral ties as historically rooted and based on shared interests, asserting that they remain unaffected by external adversities.
