Mashhad: The head of the Socio-Cultural Foundation of Afghan Residents in Iran has stated that Martyr Qassem Soleimani sought the formation of an Islamic civilization based on unity and cohesion among Muslims, thereby making his school of thought a clear path for resistance movements.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, an international conference marking the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani was held in Mashhad, bringing together participants from Iran, Afghanistan, and Lebanon to discuss his legacy and the concept of resistance. Speaking at the second international conference on the school of thought of Martyr Soleimani and the clear path of resistance, Javad Vahidi highlighted General Soleimani's vision for an Islamic civilization rooted in unity and cohesion among Muslims, describing his teachings as a clear guide for resistance movements.
Vahidi articulated that General Soleimani continued the path established by the Prophet of Islam, presenting a modern manifestation of Islamic teachings in the face of domination, arrogance, and oppression. He emphasized that Soleimani's deep faith and character have left a lasting impact on the people across the region, helping to neutralize adversarial plots and promoting brotherhood among various groups within the Islamic world.
Moreover, Vahidi noted General Soleimani's strategic insight and his understanding of adversaries, which enabled him to thwart efforts to sow division within the Muslim ummah. He also pointed out Soleimani's support for both Shia Hezbollah forces in Lebanon and Sunni Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
During the event, Hassan Ali al-Baghdadi, a member of Hezbollah's Central Council, reaffirmed commitment to the path laid out by late Imam Khomeini, continued by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and followed by Resistance martyrs. He stressed that despite losses, the strength of the Islamic Ummah remains steadfast against the Israeli regime and broader regional projects.
The conference was organized by the Cultural and Social Foundation of Afghan Residents in Iran.
