Tehran: The Islamic Propagation Coordination Council of Tehran Province has announced a series of programs to mark the 40th day since the burial of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohsen Mahmoudi stated that residents across Tehran Province are expected to participate in commemorative ceremonies scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, at 5 p.m. at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran. Mahmoudi further outlined that on Thursday, August 20, commemorative events will be held at all martyrs' cemeteries, mosques, holy shrines, and Husseiniyehs throughout the province. These gatherings will involve honoring martyrs with flowers and attending ceremonies dedicated to the martyred Leader.
Mahmoudi also announced that a distinct ceremony will take place on Thursday at the shrine of Hazrat Abd al-Azim al-Hasani in southern Tehran. Additionally, mourning gatherings are planned in mosques across the province following evening prayers, coinciding with the anniversary of Imam Hassan's (PBUH) martyrdom on Thursday. Participants are expected to proceed toward city squares and designated nighttime gathering locations.
The programs also include the decoration of urban and rural areas, the broadcasting of Surah Al-Fath from mosque minarets, and the organization of commemorative ceremonies at government offices and institutions on Wednesday. Cultural exhibitions and speeches are set to take place before Friday prayers to discuss the personality and legacy of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
