Gaza: The Civil Defense in Gaza has condemned the Israeli regime for blocking the entry of life-saving heavy machinery into the enclave, leading to the deaths of wounded civilians trapped under the rubble of destroyed homes.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the agency released a statement on Telegram, stating that many wounded individuals have died under the ruins of their homes, which were destroyed without prior warning. The statement emphasized the inability of rescue crews to save lives due to the blockade on essential rescue equipment and heavy machinery.
First responders have reported distressing scenarios in areas such as Shujayea, Abasan, Rafah, and Deir el-Balah. In these areas, victims trapped under collapsed buildings could be heard pleading for help. However, the absence of necessary tools thwarted timely rescues.
The Civil Defense expressed that those victims are now considered missing bodies. The agency, which has lost multiple workers to Israeli attacks, called for accountability and questioned the ongoing deaths in Gaza and the international community's failure to intervene.
The condemnation arises amid extensive destruction in Gaza, affecting hospitals, schools, and shelters, leaving numerous civilians without medical care or emergency support. Israeli forces continue to block the entry of essential equipment into Gaza, including hydraulic tools, heavy-duty cranes, and medical devices vital for locating and assisting victims trapped under debris.
