Jeddah: About 30,000 Iranian pilgrims have gathered in Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj pilgrimage, with the current count reaching 29,778. The process of transferring these pilgrims to Saudi Arabia has been ongoing, with four flights arriving in Medina on Saturday. In total, 130 flights have been employed to facilitate the arrival of Iranian pilgrims. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, approximately 22,334 Iranian pilgrims are presently in Mecca, while 7,444 others are stationed in Medina. The transfer of pilgrims from Medina to Mecca is scheduled to continue until the end of this week, with Medina expected to be emptied of Iranian pilgrims by Friday. From next week, all Iranian pilgrims will be settled in Mecca following their transfer from Medina. The Iranian pilgrims are receiving necessary services in both Medina and Mecca. The arrival of Iranian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia commenced on April 27, coinciding with a ceasefire between Iran and the United States. The ceasefire, which took effect on A pril 8, marked a pause in 40 days of conflict that began after an attack by the US and Israel on Iran.
