Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi said on Thursday that China and Russia seek to boost bilateral ties on all levels. This came in a press release published on the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website on the 75th anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China. Wang said that bilateral relations have gone through many ups and downs to reach the maturity, stability and flexibility they are today, and are characterized by comprehensive strategic coordination and mutually beneficial cooperation, as well as permanent good neighborliness, adding that Chinese-Russian relations are going through their best period in history. "No matter how the international situation changes, the essence of Sino-Russian relations of non-alignment, non-confrontation and non-targeting of third parties will not change, and their adherence to the principles of mutual respect, equal treatment and win-win cooperation will not change either," Wang noted. He added that educational cooperation between the t wo sides is constantly increasing, as more than 200 Russian universities teach the Chinese language, and the number of their Russian students has reached 90,000.
