West Bank: The Islamic Resistance Movement, known as Hamas, has issued a call for widespread participation in a planned general strike and demonstrations across the West Bank. This initiative aims to condemn the ongoing Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Hamas released a statement on Sunday urging the public to rise against what it describes as occupiers and confront them at all points within the West Bank. The statement emphasizes the importance of widespread involvement in the general strike and organized activities and marches of anger scheduled for Monday.
Israeli forces have reportedly intensified their air and ground operations throughout Gaza, leading to the deaths of at least 46 Palestinians over the past 24 hours. This escalation marks the 20th consecutive day of the Israeli offensive. Reports indicate that Israeli warplanes and drones have targeted various areas within the besieged enclave, with Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza experiencing the most significant impact.
