Tehran: The event titled 'Harmonizing in Tehran's Wounded Synagogue' took place on Thursday evening near the Rafinia Synagogue, with the attendance of the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Reza Salehi-Amiri.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rabbi Arash Tehrani addressed the gathering, emphasizing that friendship, affection, cooperation, love, and sincerity have always existed among all people of Iran, regardless of ethnicity, race, or religion. He stated that when kindness and love prevail, God's mercy encompasses all.
Marjan Yashayayi, a member of the Iranian Jewish Graduates Society, expressed gratitude to the Basij, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), the municipality, the Red Crescent, and the crisis management team for their prompt action during a recent crisis. She particularly commended the respectful handling of religious books by personnel from the IRGC, Basij, and the Red Crescent.
Yashayayi also highlighted the grief endured by the children of Minab and other sorrows faced by the Iranian people during the war, noting that these events underscore centuries of coexistence in Iran. She remarked on the significance of sharing this story with the world, pointing out the existence of over 30 active synagogues in Tehran where daily and weekly prayers are held.
The airstrikes conducted by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran on April 7, 2026, targeted a Jewish synagogue in Tehran, resulting in injuries to civilians.
