Tehran: Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi has emphasized the strong bonds of friendship between Iran and Tajikistan, which are deeply rooted in shared cultural and historical foundations. Both nations are committed to enhancing their mutual ties.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Takht-Ravanchi made these remarks upon his return to Tehran after a two-day visit to Tajikistan. During his visit, he engaged in discussions with senior Tajik officials to bolster cooperation between the two countries.
Takht-Ravanchi reported on X that during his stay in Dushanbe, he met with Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Minister of Culture Matlubakhon Sattoriyon. He also participated in political consultations with Deputy Foreign Minister Farrukh Sharifzoda. The deputy foreign minister highlighted the shared language, culture, civilization, history, and religion as the foundation of the strong friendship between Iran and Tajikistan. He noted that both sides are determined to utilize these commonalities to further strengthen their ties, sharing photos from his meetings in Tajikistan.
The visit marked the third round of political consultations between Iranian and Tajik officials. The discussions covered various topics related to bilateral relations, as well as regional and international developments.
