Iran: Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Madanizadeh met with the United Arab Emirates' new ambassador to Tehran, Khalid Abdulla Belhoul, to explore potential avenues for enhancing trade, banking, and investment cooperation. During the meeting, Madanizadeh extended an invitation to Emirati investors to engage in significant projects within the Iranian economy.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Madanizadeh emphasized the broad and significant economic and commercial relations between Iran and the UAE, highlighting that the UAE is Iran's second-largest foreign trade partner. Despite the current level of bilateral trade, he urged both parties to work on facilitating commercial and financial exchanges and expanding banking interactions to realize untapped potential.
The minister highlighted numerous investment opportunities available in various sectors of Iran's economy and encouraged Emirati investors to participate in large-scale projects. He stressed that the investment permits offered by the Iranian government could enhance the attractiveness of these ventures. Madanizadeh also mentioned the prospects in the digital economy and Iran's strategic geographic position as a transit corridor to northern regional markets.
Ambassador Belhoul expressed optimism about the upcoming session of the Iran-UAE Joint Economic Commission, scheduled for next year, which he believes will provide a valuable platform to further strengthen economic and trade relations between the two nations.
