Iran Strongly Condemns Renewed Israeli Aggression Against Lebanon

Tehran: Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has expressed strong condemnation for the renewed aggression by the Israeli regime against Lebanon. In a statement released on Friday, Baqaei criticized the Israeli attacks, particularly in the Bekaa region, which have resulted in civilian casualties and significant damage to Lebanese infrastructure.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei has urged the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to take immediate action to uphold its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security. He highlighted the ongoing violations of Lebanon's national sovereignty and territorial integrity as a pressing concern.

Baqaei further criticized the UNSC for its perceived silence and inaction regarding the Israeli regime's violations and crimes, describing this lack of response as 'catastrophic.' He also pointed out the direct responsibility of the United States and France, as guarantors of the ceasefire, for the ongoing disastrous situation in Lebanon.
