Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, have discussed bilateral ties and regional developments, including the Strait of Hormuz. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a telephone conversation, the two foreign ministers discussed the latest developments in negotiations over the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and maintaining the ceasefire between Iran and the US. They also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in different fields. During the discussion, the Iranian foreign minister explained the latest state of bilateral talks between Iran and Oman regarding the establishment of a suitable route for the safe passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Araghchi reaffirmed Iran's resolve to continue this collaborative process. The two top diplomats also reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region, emphasizing the need for sustained political and diplomatic initiatives to manage the situation, prevent escalating tensions, and bolster overall regional stability and security.
