Powered by 102 AI programs, the robot facilitates visitor navigation through the fair's extensive cultural venues and publishing houses. The use of the robot aligns with the efforts of the organizer of the fair, Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, to leverage advanced technology to enhance visitor experiences and improve the efficiency of cultural events. It underscores the fair's status as a leading cultural event that keeps pace with technological advancements in the publishing and knowledge industry. Eng. Mahmoud bin Ajlan, the robot's programmer, told a Saudi Press Agency reporter that the robot was designed to welcome visitors, answer inquiries about publishing houses and publications, and provide audio summaries of books. The robot's proficiency in 96 languages, including local dialects, enables it to effectively interact with a di verse range of visitors. The robot features a screen that displays publications and products with explanatory videos, enabling it to engage with visitors, respond to questions, and gather feedback on the exhibition. The Riyadh International Book Fair, held at King Saud University from September 26 until October 5, offers a rich cultural program featuring over 200 activities suitable for all ages. It includes seminars, dialogue sessions, lectures, poetry evenings, and workshops led by renowned writers, thinkers, and intellectuals from Saudi Arabia and from around the world.
