Turkish Foreign Minister Engages in Intensive Diplomatic Efforts to Resolve Regional Conflicts

Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has embarked on a diplomatic marathon over the past four days, engaging in numerous telephone conversations with his counterparts in a bid to address some of the region's most pressing conflicts.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, on July 31, Fidan spoke with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, discussing recent developments in the region and exploring ways to bring ongoing conflicts to an end. The following day, Fidan engaged in a dialogue with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, focusing on the progress of negotiations aimed at resolving regional wars.

Fidan underscored Turkey's commitment to fostering peace and ending conflicts across the region. This was further emphasized during his conversation on August 3 with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, where regional developments were again at the forefront.

In a call with the newly appointed British Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, Fidan extended his congratulations and discussed critical issues in the Middle East, specifically the situation in the Gaza Strip, along with the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and broader regional efforts for peace.

Turkey remains deeply involved in high-level diplomatic initiatives to halt ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, addressing issues such as the American-Iranian tensions, Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and Tel Aviv's military activities in Syria and Lebanon.
