Tehran: Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, has emphasized the high level of capabilities and preparedness of Iran’s armed forces, describing their strength as ‘excellent’.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mousavi made these remarks during a ceremony in Tehran honoring Brigadier General Mohammad-Saeed Izadi, who led the Palestine Department at the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (I.R.G.C.). Izadi was known for his support of Palestine and his opposition to the Israeli regime.

The ceremony was attended by senior military and political officials, including Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani, Commander of the Quds Force of the I.R.G.C., and Esmail Khatib, Minister of Intelligence. The event aimed to commemorate Izadi’s significant contributions to the resistance movement against Israeli occupation, following his recent assassination attributed to the Israeli regime.
