Tehran: Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi has embarked on a series of strategic discussions, meeting with Norwegian counterpart Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, President of the New Development Bank (BRICS Bank) Dilma Rousseff, and French Ambassador to Iran Pierre Cochard.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the talks with Kravik, held in Tehran, focused on Iran's stance concerning the military actions by the US and Israel against Iran, as well as Iran's countermeasures in response to these aggressions. Gharibabadi elucidated on Iran's sovereignty issues, particularly emphasizing the strategic significance of the Strait of Hormuz, and discussed Pakistan's mediating efforts in alleviating regional tensions.
In a telephonic conversation with Rousseff, Gharibabadi explored Iran's membership in the New Development Bank, outlining the prospective steps for deepening Iran's engagement with the BRICS Bank.
Meanwhile, during discussions with French Ambassador Cochard, Gharibabadi addressed regional developments and reiterated the importance of restraint to prevent further complications in the region. The talks also underscored the critical situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, highlighting the necessity for diplomatic efforts to maintain stability.
