Tehran: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Commander-in-Chief Major General Ahmad Vahidi and Iran's Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami have met to assess the latest battlefield situation, emphasizing strong defense against the enemies orchestrating malicious objectives against the country.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the meeting on Saturday, General Vahidi and General Hatami stated that the Iranian Armed Forces, relying on faith, experience, and strategic capabilities, are strongly positioned at the forefront of defending the country's independence, national security, and territorial integrity.
General Vahidi honored the Army martyrs from the recent conflict, such as Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi and Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh. He highlighted the achievements of the US-Israel-imposed war, noting that the Iranian Army exceeded the enemy's expectations by demonstrating its power and strength on the battlefield.
He further recognized the valor and patriotism of Army commanders and troops, stating that "the revolutionary zeal and operational ingenuity throughout the war by the Army and the IRGC humbled and humiliated terrorist American and Zionist powers."
General Vahidi attributed the triumph over the enemy to national unity and cohesion, especially among all branches of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, considering it a key factor for overcoming aggressive enemies.
The IRGC commander stated that the Zionist army would quickly collapse without US support, and that Iran's resilience had left American officials, including President Donald Trump, desperate, resorting to lies and deception to manufacture achievements.
He added that American and Zionist intelligence and military agencies misled their people and openly tried to mask their failures on the battlefield against the Islamic Republic.
During the meeting, the Army chief also praised the steadfast resistance of the Iranian nation and forces against American-Israeli adversaries, emphasizing their unwillingness to compromise on national interests and their commitment to the path of the martyrs. General Hatami noted the IRGC's significant role in Iran's national power, security, and deterrence over the past four decades, citing persistent hostility from the 'Global Arrogance' as evidence of its decisive role.
Paying tribute to the IRGC commanders and combatants, including Martyr Major General Hossein Salami, Martyr Lieutenant General Mohammad Pakpour, and Martyr Major General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, General Hatami emphasized that their sacrifices would remain enduring and proud in the history of national defense.
General Hatami also warned against conspiracies to make the Iranian nation abandon its legitimate demands since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, urging enemies to change their perspective regarding Iran, its people, and its sacred system under exalted leadership.
