IRGC Launches Retaliatory Strikes on US Military Sites in Bahrain and Jordan

Tehran: Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced new retaliatory attacks on US military facilities located in Bahrain and Jordan, targeting key command centers, military infrastructure, aircraft shelters, and strategic drones.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC's Aerospace Force executed strikes on the US military base at al-Azraq in Jordan. This operation was reportedly in response to what the IRGC describes as renewed US acts of aggression against Iran. The attack resulted in the destruction of shelters housing US F-15, F-16, and F-35 fighter jets, as well as several MQ-9 strategic drones stationed at the base.

In communication with the citizens of Jordan, the IRGC highlighted that a significant portion of US military operations against Iran had been launched from American bases within Jordan. The IRGC urged Jordanians to terminate the presence of US forces in their country and to prevent Jordan from being used as a launchpad for attacks against Islamic nations and the Palestinian people. They also encouraged Jordanian citizens to seize every opportunity to 'destroy American institutions and expel the occupying US army from Jordan.'

In a separate announcement, the IRGC reported that its Navy targeted facilities of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, specifically striking the NSI management center, the command and control center, large warehouses containing military parts and equipment, and fuel storage facilities.

The IRGC stated that the strikes in Bahrain were a response to the United States' deployment of naval forces in the Indian Ocean and the subsequent blockade of maritime routes. The US actions, under the pretext of controlling the Strait of Hormuz, have reportedly disrupted the region's oil and gas exports. The IRGC warned that if the US continues to block the Indian Ocean route, it must be prepared for other oil and gas export routes, which benefit the US and its allies, to be closed as well. The IRGC emphasized that the region's oil and gas exports will either be available to everyone or to no one.
