Tehran: Judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir says the Zionist regime’s savage attack on Evin prison in Iran contradicts all international protocols. The Israeli attack on Evin prison in Tehran is regarded as a violation of international law, said Jahangir in a press conference on Tuesday.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the attack on the detention facility is unprecedented during wartime. Jahangir emphasized that no assault on a detention facility has occurred throughout history during conflicts. Administration spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani also commented on the situation, stating that international institutions have recognized the Israeli attack as a war crime. Despite political biases, the Iranian administration plans to pursue legal action against this violation.
Mohajerani further denounced Israel’s military actions in Gaza, labeling them as crimes against humanity. She highlighted the severe impact on the Palestinian population, stating that nearly 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, including children suffering from starvation.
