Jeddah: Ministry of Commerce's inspection teams in Makkah conducted 24,000 inspections at markets, commercial centers, the central area of the Grand Mosque, the Miqat stations, as the prescribed places for Ihram, and the Haramain High Speed Railway.The visits, part of its plan for the Hajj season, were conducted to monitor the availability of goods for the pilgrims, prices, markets and sales outlets, potential commercial violations, and the quality and suitability of the goods and products offered, and to ensure that commercial establishments comply with the Ministry of Commerce regulations.Also visited were public utility markets, commercial stores, central markets and hypermarkets, gold and jewelry stores, gas stations and service centers on the roads leading to Makkah and the Miqat stations.
