Araghchi Engages with Iranian Diplomats at Caspian Sea Conference

Rasht: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has engaged in discussions with ambassadors and heads of Iranian missions in Russia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan, who convened in the city of Rasht for an international conference.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi met with Iranian diplomats on the sidelines of the summit of the governors of the Caspian Sea littoral states, themed ‘Caspian: Bridge for Friendship and Regional Development,’ on Tuesday. The two-day event is a gathering of both domestic and foreign officials, including governors and economic activists from the provinces located along the Caspian Sea shores in Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.

The first summit of governors, initiated by Iran, aims to bolster regional cooperation, enhance economic interactions, and improve coordination in sustainable development and environmental protection. Discussions are also focusing on enhancing cultural and tourism ties and fostering synergy among the coastal provinces of the five Caspian Sea countries.
