Islamabad: Iran and Pakistan have emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation, as highlighted during a meeting between Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, and Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister. The meeting was aimed at discussing ways to further improve the bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the discussions also involved Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan Amna Baloch and Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri-Moghadam, who both attended the meeting. The dialogue focused on preparations for the upcoming 13th round of Iran-Pakistan bilateral talks, key regional developments, multilateral events, and other avenues to strengthen relations.
The 12th round of bilateral political consultations between Iran and Pakistan took place in Tehran in 2023, setting a foundation for continued dialogue and cooperation. This ongoing engagement highlights the commitment of both nations to work collaboratively on shared interests and regional stability.
