Tehran: The chairman of the Committee for the Support of the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People, Hujjat al-Islams Mohammad-Hassan Akhtari, affirmed Iran’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people at the 8th International Conference in Solidarity with Palestinian Children and Youth, held at the International Conference Center in Tehran.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Akhtari emphasized that Iran has consistently supported the Palestinian cause with all its strength and will continue to do so. He pointed to a humiliating ceasefire agreement imposed on Israel, stating that the regime’s falsehoods aimed at misleading the global community have been exposed over the past two years.
Akhtari remarked on the growing global disdain and isolation facing Israel, noting its significant military losses and defeats. He reiterated Iran’s steadfast backing for the Palestinian people and resistance groups, highlighting the impact of Iran’s missile strikes on Israel as a pivotal lesson.
He expressed optimism about the conference’s potential to develop actionable strategies to support the Palestinian resistance, with participation from over thirty countries.
The conference, which commenced on Sunday in Tehran, included more than 100 participants from 32 nations. The event commemorates Mohammed al-Durrah, a young Palestinian boy killed by Israeli forces in 2000, and features attendees from countries such as Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Turkiye, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Serbia, Malaysia, and Zimbabwe.
