Baghdad: The head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, Falih al-Fayyadh, met on Sunday with Commander of Iran’s Police, Brigadier General Ahmadreza Radan. During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening security and law enforcement cooperation, particularly along the two countries’ shared borders.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Radan expressed appreciation for the Iraqi Resistance’s efforts in organizing this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage. He noted, “The Iranian Police and Iraq’s security forces, including the Popular Mobilization Forces, had good coordination in holding the Arbaeen ceremonies this year.”
Fayyadh emphasized the importance of enhancing security and law enforcement collaboration, especially in border areas. He underlined the need for joint coordination and exchange of information to ensure border security. Additionally, he congratulated Radan on Iran’s Police Week, noting that the friendly and brotherly country of Iran has always stood by the people of Iraq.
